Walmart Director, Data Analytics in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Walmart's Global Security, Aviation, and Investigations (GSAI) organization is looking for a Director, Data Analytics - Global Ethics and Compliance to serve as a leader within the IROCC (Investigative Risk and Operational Compliance Center), the analytics center of excellence for Global Governance. This position oversees team of technical professionals and solves complex problems across a broad range of risk subject matters areas (SMAs) in support of the Global Ethics & Compliance organization's objectives and partners with other workstream leaders to support high profile projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and oversee a team of data analysts who will identify, collect, process, visualize, and model data to solve for complex ethics, compliance, and regulatory objectives; advise on the development of complex data products and applications; identify and remove roadblocks so team members can execute in a timely manner.

  • Provide direction on tools, best practices, and quality control measures to produce accurate and consistent deliverables.

  • Drive a high-performance culture through effective operational management, real-time feedback to team members, and management of program metrics; Identify and remove roadblocks so team members can execute workflows in a timely manner.

  • Build trusted relationships with executive GEC leaders; work with SMAs in Compliance to develop use cases and recommend holistic analytics solutions that solve multiple compliance objectives; perform continual review and improvement of existing portfolio of analytics solutions to improve, decommission, or sustain based on business needs.

  • Identify use cases for advanced analytics and machine learning to produce process efficiencies, develop predictive insights, and improve maturity of compliance programs.

  • Conduct presentations (or 'tours') to internal leaders and external parties; produce executive level reporting and similar deliverables to communicate results and/or value on a regular basis.

  • Partner with peers in the IROCC, Global Technology, and Digital Acceleration to execute on long term projects, resource allocation, and ensure alignment on strategic risk mitigation goals.

What You'll Bring:

  • You operate with customer first mindset and inspire others to do the same

  • You are adept at communicating complex technical topics to executive-level audiences

  • You have experience building predictive models that can be operationalized at scale

  • You have a background supporting legal, ethics, investigations, or corporate compliance teams

  • You are adept at telling stories using data and can produce clear, impactful visualizations

Bonus points if you have:

  • Proficiency in languages used to manipulate, analyze, visualize, and draw insights high-volume data sets (e.g. SQL, Python, R, PowerBI, Dataiku, BigQuery, Element, etc.)

  • Experience transforming innovative ideas into practical analytics solutions

  • Certifications in analytics, machine learning, or data governance disciplines

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 5 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 7 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. 2 years' supervisory experience.
