Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Senior Manager, Biostatistics will be responsible for managing and supervising biostatistics activities within WHRI to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of statistical designs, analyses, reports, and regulatory submissions. Maintains high standards of quality and efficiency in statistical processes. This position is based on site at our home office in Bentonville Arkansas.

The ideal candidate has contributed to the design and execution of a study that has been included within a regulatory submission, such as an external control arm (ECA) study.

  • You have extensive experience in leading statistical analysis plan development and execution for various kinds of clinical research projects to support the drug development process

  • You have expertise in writing study protocols, reviewing statistical programming for accuracy, and interpreting study results to ensure appropriate results dissemination and conclusions

  • You have a strong working knowledge of statistical methods and study designs used within real-world evidence studies and prospective research

  • You have familiarity with the nuances to conducting studies using various kinds of real-world data (RWD) sources and methods that can be used to address data abnormalities or missingness

Manages and supervises biostatistics activities within WHRI to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of statistical designs, analyses, reports, and regulatory submissions. Maintains high standards of quality and efficiency in statistical processes.

Independently offers strategic statistical input across WHRI projects, encompassing feasibility assessments, development plans, complex study designs, cross-study statistical methodologies, interpretations, regulatory submissions, and subsequent follow-ups.

Acts as the primary representative of biostatistics in core project teams, contributing to both operational and strategic decisions related to assigned projects. Collaborates closely with internal and external team members to coordinate planning and execution of statistical deliverables.

Applies innovative statistical approaches in study design and the analysis/reporting of results, such as modeling and simulation, adaptive design, and Bayesian approaches. Continuously explores new methodologies to enhance research outcomes.

Works closely with internal and external teams to identify and validate data sources, developing appropriate analytic strategies. Ensures the robustness and reliability of statistical analyses through comprehensive data validation.

Provides statistical input for study-level documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to generate comprehensive study documentation.

Conducts quality control and assurance of statistical deliverables, including validation of key analysis results. Implements rigorous QC/QA processes to maintain data integrity and reliability.

Supports and contributes to the preparation of publications, including manuscripts, posters, and oral presentations. Ensures the accurate representation of statistical findings in scientific publications.

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Master's degree in biostatistics.

Prior work experience in the application of biostatistics in asset development.

Prior work experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in closely related academic epidemiological/outcomes research.

Knowledge of CDISC requirements for SDTM and ADaM.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to clinical development of drugs and biologics.
