Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.

What you'll do:

  • As an IoT Edge Engineer of the Walmart's Enterprise IoT platform, you will be responsible for strategizing the management of all of the IoT Edge infrastructure, managing, configuring and provisioning of edge IoT devices at scale.

  • You will collaborate with the Platform architecture group to strategize and run the at scale deployments, twin updates and support various IoT topologies.

  • You will be designing and building software solutions that will run on IoT devices, Edge device modules.

  • You will be a subject matter expert and possess in depth knowledge on the IoT devices, Edge Devices and hardware gateways, various IoT protocols supported by the Walmart's Enterprise IoT platform,

  • Security of the IoT devices, device onboarding and provisioning.

  • You will engage with internal members of the technology organization and provide consultation and share expert knowledge on building IoT solutions on the Enterprise platform.

  • In this role it would be important for you to professionally maintain all design, codes and create updates regularly to address the customer's and company's concerns

  • Will be Designing and Developing high scalable Cloud micro services for Walmart Supply Chain fulfillment area

  • Will be guiding a team of junior developers in the developing solutions and providing technical expertise

  • Will be collaborating across cross platform team to achieve highly scalable integrations

  • Will be working closely with Automation vendors in building NextGen Warehouse management solutions

What you'll bring:

  • Graduate in CS or equivalent with minimum experience of 8+ years in

  • Software product development and maintenance.

  • Good understanding and knowledge of WCNP, Concord, Looper, CCM,

  • Oneops, Astra, Torbit, SSP, Service Now.

  • In depth understanding of Linux systems, administrative skills on Unix based

  • systems, understanding of various security methodologies like PKI, symmetric

  • key attestations keys.

  • Must have good understanding on the working of IP networks.

  • Expertise in scripting languages like shell scripts, python, etc.

  • Expertise in designing and developing Azure Cloud and Azure IoT based

  • solutions

  • Expertise in building IoT device solutions, preferably in Azure.

  • Working knowledge on Device client and Module client, Service SDKs of Azure

  • IoT stack is a big plus.

  • Working knowledge on cloud computing systems, distributed computing and

  • experience in working with IoT based applications.

  • Understanding of IoT communication, networking and hardware interfacing

  • standards like MQTT, AMQP, Web Sockets, EAP TLS, BLE, ZigBee, OPC UA,

  • TCP/UDP, LoRaWAN is bonus.

  • Experience working with wireless protocols like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy

  • (BLE), and Near Field Communication (NFC)

  • In-Depth understanding of Embedded Communication Protocols I2C, Serial,

  • SPI, CAN

  • Develop and maintain custom firmware with focus on implementing best

  • practices for IoT device security (e.g., secure boot, encryption, access

  • control).

  • Conceptualize, develop, and integrate digital twin models that accurately

  • represent the physical characteristics and behaviours of real-world IoT

  • devices.

  • Experience in automation and configuration management tools.

  • Proficient in C#, and hands on experience in Python, or Node JS.

  • Experience of working in Agile teams

  • Sound knowledge of source code management tools like SVN/ Git/ VSTS, etc

  • Sound knowledge and experience with CI-CD and DevOps tools

  • Working knowledge of containerization & technologies such as docker

  • Working knowledge in Ignition SCADA/HMI development and configuration.

  • Understanding of Information security techniques like PKI, symmetric key

  • attestation, TPM attestation

  • Exceptional understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns,

  • and SOLID principles to create well-structured, maintainable, and secure

  • code.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
