What you'll do...

This position will collaborate with and support our Forecast Manager for the development of forecasts to predict volume demand from external and internal customers and support mechanisms to meet forecast accuracy targets and ongoing changes in customer need.

Marketplace Seller Support is responsible for creating a trustworthy selling experience across Walmart.com by protecting customers, brands, sellers, and Walmart from fraud, counterfeit, and abuse, as well as enabling sellers and associates in providing support experience excellence and building loyalty with Walmart's marketplace sellers and customers.

As the Senior Analyst of Volume Forecasting of the Marketplace Seller Support Forecasting Team within Shared Services, you will collaborate with our current team handling the development of volume demand forecasts and share in the responsibilities for our ever-growing Marketplace Seller Support needs. This is an exciting and transformational time as we are evolving new structure and methodologies in how we service our sellers on Walmart Marketplace. Currently, our contact centers are fully-reactive support teams, but future-state may become a hybrid of Business-to-Business (B2B) proactive outreach support contact center team who also handles reactive support inquiries. You will be a team player and together be leading the business and operations teams through the transformation of our forecasting and planning model to account for multiple complexities of our service model and striving for forecast accuracy. You and your team will be collaborating closely with other cross-functional teams (finance, business development, analytics, data science, product & engineering, capacity planning, operations and program teams) across Walmart, and you will be responsible to lead the effort & evolution of creating accurate, reliable forecasts which inform downstream teams' staffing, cost, and other related deep-dive and root cause resolution approaches.

In this role, you will be enabled with ownership of forecasting strategies and efficiencies, ensuring forecast accuracy within reasonable variance. You and the team will produce and analyze weekly results, trends, and provide valuable insights for operational staffing and costs to meet target service levels.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (engineering, economics, mathematics, statistics)

  • 4+ years of professional experience in analytics, statistics, consulting or program / project management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) and comfortable in analyzing large data sets.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and ambiguous environment by combining analytical rigor and judgment.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and an ability to present and clearly communicate complex data, derive business insights and findings to non-experts.

  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Predictive Analytics, Business, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or related field.

  • Working knowledge of SQL or other analytical tools (R or Python) for conducting data analysis.

  • Professional experience in forecasting or demand and supply planning.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09313/Draper, Utah US-10681:The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
